I have had a passion for the outdoors for my entire life. Being that this is a family run organization for three generations now; I have grown up around this business and recall “helping” out at sports shows at a very early age (tough not to take a pamphlet on a product from a little kid). After growing up and supporting the odd jobs around the office, or running the service for the local Mill’s stores around the Twin Cities, I went to college and entered into a different industry. A unique opportunity to get back involved with the family business and a passion for what we represent brought me fully into the industry, and I have not looked back. This agency is my 2nd family and I run our operation as such. I strive to provide the best sales and service to all customers and factories we represent, and I expect the same from every one of my sales staff.

Jon P. Sokol
I cover much of our Western Territory with Montana, Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. I have been working in the outdoor industry for the past 23 years. My experience in the industry as a Fly Fishing Guide, Manager of Big Box Retail, Buyer and for the past 10 years a Sales Rep affords a diverse perspective on our marketplace. I have a strong passion for helping accounts achieve their goals through sales and marketing. That, coupled with a strong work ethic and attention to detail has made my customers successful with the lines we represent. When not on the road calling on accounts you can find me on a mountain stream, with my family, or hunting upland birds with my 3 dogs.
Whether I am with family and friends or secluded in the woods, I live my life outdoors. My passion for the outdoors brought me into this industry and I carry forward that same passion to my customer's success. My activities evolve with the seasons. Late winter into early spring is Steelhead season on the rivers in NE Ohio. As bow season approaches I head to the woods for whitetail. This time of year also brings waterfowl into play. I intermingle many other hobbies some of which include sporting clays and precision long range shooting.
I joined the Sokol Associates team in January 2014, with a big move to Missouri.
My family and I are outdoor enthusiasts. My passion for outdoors began at a young age growing up in the Wasatch mountain range of Utah. I was always skiing, fishing, hunting, and hiking, it was pretty much all I did.
My passion for the great outdoors landed me a retail position in the sporting goods industry, when I was just 15. Continuing my career within sporting goods, 20 years later, I currently represent some of the world’s leading outdoor manufacturers.
I enjoy teaching and talking about my experiences, as well as sharing my knowledge gained through experience with my customers. I have a wonderful wife and 3 beautiful children who all enjoy the outdoors with me, wherever we make our home.
I have been in the outdoor industry as a career for almost a quarter century, and the outdoors have been a passion of mine my whole life. My involvement with accounts including dealers, international internet companies, regional wholesalers, national distributors, local chains and national chains gives me a diverse perspective on how to maximize growth and sales. My passions take me to many extraordinary places, but two areas that I especially enjoy are muskie fishing anywhere in North America and river smallmouth fishing in a canoe. I also love to hunt with bow or gun, which was a part of my upbringing on the family farm.
I have been in the industry for a number of years working mostly in retail and was a part of the buying team at Cabelas. I have great passion for the outdoors and get to integrate that into my profession now and I enjoy sharing my passions with the customers that I work with today. My favorite outdoor experiences include elk hunting in the mountains of Colorado, turkey hunting throughout the West, and fishing where ever I can.
Over the past fourteen years, I have significantly grown myself professionally through developing a results driven sales strategy. Each day, I assess the needs of my customers, present a product, as well as myself, through a knowledgeable, high-impact sales presentation. Through this strategy, I create new business opportunities, secure customer loyalty, create strong business relationships and create revenue for both customers and factories.
With a business acumen as well as a passion for the outdoors, I am a knowledgeable user and carry my passion forward in the field and in business.
I have been involved in the hunting and fishing industry for over 30 years; this includes experience in the retail, marketing and manufacturing sectors. My attention to detail and industry knowledge are applied everyday to drive business for my customers and the factories that we represent.

I am a supporting member of various conservation groups including: Trout Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, Wisconsin Waterfowlers Association, Wild Turkey Federation, Walleyes for Tomorrow, Federation of Fly Fishers.
I have been involved in the sporting goods business all of my life. From the early days I worked retail in a sport shop and crewed on fishing boats. That grew into studying marketing, working in various parts of the country and fishing, hunting and skiing as much as possible. This eventually led me to becoming a manufacturer’s representative for most of the last 22 years. I enjoy working with the products I sell and selling the products that I know and use.
